
Andy has appeared in many productions for the Brook Theatre, Federation Players,
Too Many Women Productions, Richmond Players, Wild Pig Productions and Camer
Arts. Significant acting roles include Giles Corey in Arthur Miller's The
Crucible, Malvolio in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night,
Egeus and Peter Quince in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream,
Stepan Choobukov in Chekov's The Proposal, Clem in An
Act of Settlement, Eli Grup in The Sunny South,
Dr Libbard in Aldous Huxley's The Gioconda Smile, Charles
Pentwick in Love's a Luxury, the Vicar in The White
Sheep of the Family and the Old Man in Dorothy Hewett's This Old
Man Comes Rolling Home.
He has also written, directed and produced many plays. Writing credits include
Let it Be, a musical based on the Vietnam War and the issue
of conscription; Bamboo Beach, a musical exploring environmental
issues in Queensland; Rickety Kate, an exploration of youth
alienation; Tenants of the House, a juxtaposition of the
problems of sharing a house, life and crimes in early Sydney and 'Othello';
Pawns, an exploration of the impact of child sexual abuse
through two generations; The Whirlpool, set aboard a ship
transporting migrants to Australia after World War 2 and based on family history;
its prequel End of the Line, another family history set during
and after the Russian Revolution; and - yet to be produced - Sanctuary,
a post-apocalyptic drama marrying the detective fiction of Chandler and Hammet
with futuristic classics like 1984, Brave New World, Logan's Run and Riddley
Walker.
