
Tara graduated from Three Stage at Penrith in 1995 and also trained at the Actor's Centre. Since then she has worked at the Genesian Theatre in Sydney, performing in The School for Scandal; for the Blue Mountains Theatre Company in Present Laughter, The Importance of Being Earnest and Hedda Gabler; in I Need a Man, an independent production at Bondi Pavilion; and for the Federation Theatre Company in The Sunny South and The Time is Not Yet Ripe. For Three Stage she appeared in The Exercise and Marat Sade. Tara formed her own company, Too Many Women Productions. Its first production was a night of two one-act plays: Overtones, in which she acted, and The One-Sided Wall which she directed. The company then produced two extended seasons of A Midsummer Night's Dream - the first at Everglades Gardens, Leura (Tara directed and played the role of Helena), the second at the Peppers Fairmont Resort, Leura.
